icloud just dumps everything after a while
Why dump ALL my files? Why pay for extra storage? What am I doing wrongly? The 2004 my website was a much better storage system for photos than icloud. maybe because I choose to not have my current photos sync & was trying to use i cloud to save old photos for quick access? Thank god i have external drives, & Google drive, with everything on them.... i guess my concept of icloud is wrong? i thought it was for 'me to use' as storage and safe keeping on cloud. Appears it is more for the tablet user who stores nothing on their device? Is that the correct way to view icloud storage of today? It would be so nice to use it like we used to be able.... why have so much storage paid for if nothing is there? Sure if ever i change to another computer I would turn on sync prior to. seriously disappointed. Google Drive and it seems to work as an actual storage bank which i can access from any device. What happened Apple? Why dump ALL of my photos and old docs? All folders are empty. What am i paying for? I bought a family plan and pay for a lot of "storage." Can anyone help me understand what is the use of i cloud today? i know that sounds ignorant, but it used to be to "store" stuff and find it when you return in the future. I feel tricked and a bit bewildered. maybe it is meant to only be used for people who cannot afford storage on their devices? Why did they change the use purpose? Did Apply change this? Why are ALL of my file folders empty and only one old photo is present.... one that was NOT in a folder? Time for a new computer... (mine is 2019 and I bought max storage available), ... thinking thumb drive and library like college days.
