When the Time Capsule begins to get close to full, Time Machine starts to require much more free overhead space for backups. If you have 30 GB of free space left on the Time Capsule, that may not be enough.

You have two options:

1) Reduce the size of the current backup until it will complete.....a really slow process that you will likely have to repeat again before the next backup will run

2) Erase the Time Capsule hard drive and start over again with a new backup

You probably won't ever need them, but if you want to save all the old backups on the Time Capsule, you can connect a USB hard drive to the USB port on the Time Capsule and use the Archive function in AirPort Utility to copy everything over to the USB drive....before....you erase the Time Capsule hard drive.

Open AirPort Utility on your Mac (Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility)

Click on the picture of the Time Capsule

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears

Click the Disks tab at the top of the next window

Click Erase Disk

Click the Quick Erase option next, then click Erase

It will only take a few minutes to erase the Time Capsule disk.

You may be asked to verify the disk again before a backup will begin.
