US GSM/VZW N61/N56 Service Policy

I bought a refurbished iphone on amazon that I thought was unlocked for international use, unfortunately that is not the case. When I inserted my Bahamian sim card it says that the sim is unsupported. Is there anyway that I can get this phone unlocked?

iPhone 11 Sim Unsupported in SA from USA I bought an Iphone11 in the USA & am now in South Africa. It says the Sim is locked & any sim I insert read , Sim Unsupported. I was promised it will work when in my country, SA. Please assist

iPhone purchased in Europe, now locked in United States I purchased a new iPhone 13 mini from an Apple Store in Spain after mine was pick-pocketed on vacation. I used a Vodafone temporary SIM card for the duration of my trip before returning home to the United States. Now that I am home, my carrier is saying that my iPhone is locked and their eSIM is not compatible with it until I get my iPhone unlocked. Is this true? And if so, how do I unlock it? Should I just go to my nearest Apple Store?

Only the carrier it is locked to can unlock it.

If the listing on Amazon said it was unlocked, return it and get your money back.
