multiple downloads of chess?

Does anyone know why I have over 6 chess games downloaded onto my Macbook Pro? Since they are pre-downloaded games I cannot delete them, but they always reappear and leave the folders I put in. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi daelynb,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. Try using Finder to delete the games and files associated with them to correct the issue. Follow the steps and article below to complete the task.

  1. "Switch to the Finder, such as by clicking your desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
  2. Select the app that you want to delete.

Most apps are in your Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Or choose Go > Applications from the menu bar in the Finder.

3.Use any of these ways to move the app to the Trash:

Drag the app to the Trash.

Select the app and choose File > Move to Trash from the menu bar.

Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard.

4.If you're asked for a user name and password, enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. This is usually the name and password you use to log in to your Mac.

5.To delete the app after moving it to the Trash, choose Finder > Empty Trash".

Hey daelynb,

Thanks for providing that info. Do you have multiple users on your Mac? You've mentioned that "they always reappear and leave the folders I put in". It sounds like it's only one app but that it's being copied when you make changes in your folders. What happens if you remove the folder that's you moved the game to? Hi, I opened on my launchpad and they were all automatically removed from the folders( and when I refer to folders I mean the ones I create in launchpad not finder). But then I decided to search them and only two appeared and when I left the search only two remained. I also noticed if I clicked a chess from the search option and exit one goes back into a folder. I’m not too worried about it, it’s just a nuisance, you know.
