To accomplish that you could use Section Breaks. Put a section break before the page in question and after. With section breaks you can create different header & footers for each section. So you would just remove the page number footer from the section that you don’t want to have the page footer.

If you want to 'white out' the page number on a page that is NOT a page following a Section Break, you can take "white out" a little more literally, and do something like this:

Click near the top of the page, but NOT in the header (where the page number is displayed).

Go to the shapes menu and choose the rectangle.

The action will insert a small rectangle in the body of the page. The shape will be filled with an opaque colour.

Click on the shape to select it, then use the 'up' key to move it upward to cover the header box containing the page number. You may want to also reduce the height of the rectangle to let it cover the header box without extending into the body of the document.

With the shape selected, click the Format button, and reset the fill colour to white (bottom left rectangle in the colour samples in the reference pane.

Click on the page to deselect the rectangle.

PS: Because the item hiding the number is an object placed on the page, you may need to activate some settings to make it stay on the page as the document is edited and completed.
