How to know if the airpods are updating or not

Well there isn't really a way you can tell if your AirPods are updating or not, as they update automatically. However you can check to see if your AirPods have updated by going into Settings >> Bluetooth >> Click on the (i) icon beside your AirPods >> Scroll down to the "About" section to where it says "Version." The current firmware version is 5E133.

My understanding is that it is a fully automated process so the only way is to periodically chack if they are running the newest as reported in the article, or to see if anything has changed since the last check.
