Problem sending text messages

Sent 2 text messages from my iPhone 11 that went out with a green background, rather than blue. I never got a response; however, I just found the responses but on my iPad mini. Help!

The green messages are normal SMS messages. The blue ones are iMessages. Therefore, check if iMessages is activated here: Settings Messages iMessages must be activated.

Also check, in the same menu, in Send & Receive, whether there is a "check mark" in your phone number at Reply From, and Start From.
