Searches within iPhone don’t take search terms literally

I want to know how to get searches within iOS devices (not on the Internet) to find exactly the search term I enter. I get so many false hits that it’s useless.

For example, when I search for “Beth”, I don’t want to find “both”.

Oh, that’s a huge thing to forget - it changes the question completely!

In this case, that is a feature of search within Notes - it allows for the possibility of a typo or inexact request. For example, when I search Notes for “Beth”, I even find the notes containing “better”.
