having challenges in trying to pay for my iCloud

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. What happens when you try to pay for iCloud+? Make sure that your payment methods are up-to-date and add a payment if needed using this guidance from Add a payment method to your Apple ID - Apple Support.


Add a payment method on your Mac
1. Open the App Store.
2. Click your name. If your name doesn't appear, click the Sign In button, sign in with your Apple ID, then click your name.
3. Click Account Settings.
4. Next to Payment Information, click Manage Payments. (If you're using an older version of macOS, click Edit next to Payment Type.)
5. Click Add Payment.
6. Enter the payment method details, then click Done.


If you are seeing a message about a declined payment, this info from If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support may help further.


How to complete your purchase if a payment failed or was declined
1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Payment & Shipping.
4. Add a different payment method and remove the old one
5. Try to complete your purchase.
