backup a Mac to Time Capsule via ethernet without wifi

Hi,

I am moving to an apt where I will not have an ISP box as a source of wifi.

I will get wifi on my Mac via a Netgear portable hotspot ( called Aircard 810) using my ISP's data plan.

But how can I back up the Mac to my Time capsule ? The Netgear hotspot has no ethernet port.

I think my TC has the ability to do a wireless back up, but will that work if the TC doesn't have wifi ?

You will need to connect your Mac to one of the 3 LAN <--> Ethernet ports on the back of the Time Capsule and remember to turn off the Wi-Fi on the Mac when you want to back up.

Depending on the available ports on your Mac, you may need a USB to Ethernet adapter to set up the wired Ethernet cable connection.

When the backup is done, turn the Wi-Fi back on at the Mac. You can leave the Ethernet cable connected when you turn the Wi-Fi back on at the Mac.
