iPhone video recording randomly turns off when screen mirroring - help please!

I am trying to record a talking head video of myself with my iphone 14 pro's back camera. In order to be able to see how I look in the recording (to see if I'm in the frame, that the camera is level, etc), I'm screen mirroring to my macbook.

The problem is, when I do this, the screen mirroring randomly shuts off several minutes into the video. And when the screen mirroring shuts off, the video recording on my phone also stops. This has happened twice now. Since I'm not constantly looking at my macbook screen, I usually don't realize the recording has stopped, so I waste tons of time creating the video when it's no longer recording.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Could it be caused by notifications or something popping up on my Mac that is somehow triggering the screen mirror and video recording to end?

Thanks so much!

This is happening to me too, exactly as you described. iPhone 15 Pro mirroring to early 2020 MacBook Air. The screen mirroring cuts off after 3-5 minutes, and then the video on the iPhone stops.

Did you ever find a solution?

FWIW, the response you received from SravanKrA was, IMO, rude and inaccurate. I think you described the problem exactly as it is happening.
