Monitor Mac Mini 1

I need to get a monitor for a Mac Mini 1 but I read there are some problems with compatibility. Do you have any advice or monitor recommendations? Thanks!

FWIW, when you do get a monitor, toss the vendor supplied cable as they tend to be the cheapest cables they can get away with packaging with their product.


Instead, in the case of an HDMI cable, purchase an HDMI Certified cable. They will have package markings similar to this as an example:


Non-certified cables are a coin toss as to how well they will work.


If you intend to connect to one of the USB4/Thunderbolt ports. The best interface would be USB-C to DisplayPort cables. Again, only purchase certified cables. For DisplayPort certification they will have a working on the packaging similar to this:
