A lot of the apple drivers show error message where the drivers are not signed, not loaded.

Apple did not impose code signing and notarization until a few years ago. Those files appear to be left over from migrating an earlier Mac's content. You may even find files that were installed by Apple on earlier operating systems whose "obtained from" will also show "unknown".

In that location they do not appear to be useful for anything, assuming that is your concern.

Hi John.

Device: Mac mini M1, 2020

MacOS: Ventura 13.3.1

I was trying to describe what it shows in the system report (Section Software, subsections for Applications, Extensions and Frameworks) where most of files show as “unknown”, “not signed”, and “not loaded” from the corresponding columns named as “Notarized”, “loaded”, and “Obtained from”.

I searched for the possible error based in the field “Validity Errors” from the report.

Examples from Applications, from the Software Section of the Report:

com.adobe.uxp.devtools:

 Obtained from:   Unknown

 Kind:                   Other

 Location:             /Users/usr/Library/HTTPStorages/com.adobe.uxp.devtools.app

com.apple.ctcategories:

 Obtained from:   Unknown

 Kind:                   Other

 Location:             /Users/usr/Library/HTTPStorages/com.apple.ctcategories.service

com.microsoft.openxml.excel:

 Obtained from:   Unknown
