Watch v8 and MacBook

Hi

have an old iPhone 7 Plus and a MacBook M1.

if I buy a new watch, will it all work as in any data the watch produces.

An Apple Watch needs to pair with an iPhone, your MacBook is not involved in any way. Unfortunately your iPhone 7 is unable to support the latest versions of iPhone software (iOS) which are needed to get best compatibility with a new Apple Watch. In reality the versions of Apple Watch currently marketed by Apple all require an iPhone running iOS v16.4


My advice if you want a new Apple Watch is that you should also upgrade your iPhone.
