How do I set up a beneficiary for the Apple savings account?

Add or remove a beneficiary for your Savings account

When you open a Savings account, you may choose to add beneficiaries. You can add or manage your beneficiaries at any time by contacting a Savings Account Specialist.

To speak with a Savings Account Specialist:

1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap Apple Card.
2. Tap Savings account.
3. Tap the More button , then tap Account Details.
4. Scroll down and tap Account Information, then tap Manage Beneficiaries.
5. Tap the support number to speak with a Savings Account Specialist.

You have to call Goldman Sachs (877-255-5923). Option 2,3,2,3. Name, Address, DOB, SSN, Relationship are required.

Since opening my Savings Account on day one. I have been on Bank Hold **** 3 times for a total of just under 2 hours. I was never connected to the mysterious Savings Account Specialist. My other banks can do complex Beneficiary and other account changes without speaking to anyone. For me a product fails if I have to speak with anyone to resolve any issue. I will wait until the community forces greater flexibility before using the account beyond automatic Apple Cash deposits.

Agree should not have to call/ contact anyone and be on hold.

I also agree... what is the benefit of Apple technology if you can not bypass the dreaded waiting on hold for a specialist!!!!

Called support line, person said I didn’t exist in the system; I guess I’ll try with a different person later - they said call back when I had updated info…

Did you apply using a Social Security number or ITIN? I know that recently Goldman Sachs was having issues with Apple Savings account owners that opened the account using and ITIN.

It was through SSN which makes it weird, I’ll try again tomorrow
