Changing location of friends from any label back to “none” in Find my

Hi there so I tried to “label” the location of my sister on Find My from none to home once I did that I wanted to change it back, to none. But it does not work.

I clicked back to none but instead of saying current her address / name of her city it shows still the “Home” label.

of course I can change it to work / gym / school and it will show the correct label BUT it does not work for label NONE.

I tried to restart iPhone - dis not help.

So what I shuld to do next?

Please try not to say “turn icloud off and on” because when I turn off iCloud, it causes more problems (e.g. the error message “messages on iCloud is not available, because you use 2 different accounts for iCloud and imessage” - nonsense, I have the same account set everywhere!)

or it causes the calendar not to be synchronized even after 2 months from the icloud back to the device

or it causes messages not to be downloaded back to the device - or I can se only dates but no messages in history…

By the way, the official Apple support can't solve everything and told me that I'm lucky, that I'm the only one who has this problems and that I shouldn't log out of iCloud, because it's not necessary to log out, BUT but almost all the advice here on the forum / apple support ends: try logging out and logging in from iCloud

wtf?!

Hey there Kyssi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

To get started, since the issue persists after restarting your iPhone, are you also updated to the most recent iOS version that was released recently? If not, since updating can often bring the latest features and bug fixes, we would recommend updating the iOS and test the issue again.

For help with updating, check out this link here: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If the issue persists after updating your iPhone, or if your iPhone is already up-to-date, try turning off Find My iPhone in Settings > [Your Name] > Find My > Find My iPhone. Once Find My iPhone is turned off, restart your iPhone one more time, turn Find My iPhone back on, and test the issue again.

Keep us updated on the results, and we'll continue from there.

Take care.
