Change user profile photo on your MacBook and your iCloud profile photo will be affected? Nonsense!

Has anyone notice whenever you change your user profile picture on your MacBook (running Monterey 12.6.5) it immediately affects your iCloud profile photo? This is really stupid and it makes absolute no sense and its pretty annoying
