My AirPods say GEW on the front of the case. What does this mean

Apple does free engraving on your AirPods case, and so probably the previous owner got Apple to engrave GEW on your case. It isn't anything to worry about, it just means the initials or word that the previous owner wanted on his/her AirPods.
