iMac freezes after upgrading to Ventura

Since i've upgraded to Ventura from Monterey i've noticed the following issues:

(i have a 2017 intel imac retina 5k)

my usb devices randomly disconnect for a few seconds

if the screen is off for a long period (1 hour or less), often all my devices (bluetooth and usb) stop working and the only way for fixing it is a reboot pressing the power button

it's like there is a power management issue that randomly occurs and nothing helps but a physical reboot.

I tried to do a clean installation and the problem happens again.

May Paragon NTFS be the problem?

Hello Ciccilleju,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Let's boot into safe mode and attempt to replicate these issues. This will help us further isolate the root problem:

"Start up your Intel-based Mac in safe mode

  1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key until you see the login window.
  2. Log in to your Mac.
  3. You might be asked to log in again.
  4. On either the first or second login window, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar."

More details can be found here: Start up your Mac in safe mode

If the issue persist, can. you provide a few more details? Does this happen in other user accounts? When you did a clean install, which issues returned exactly? What is your exact macOS version? Also, have you performed an SMC reset?

Cheers!
