Featured Photos disappeared from "for you" tab

I had one picture in my featured photos under the "for you" tab on my iPhone 14 (running iOS 16.4.1) - it was not one that I preferred so I followed the directions and removed it from the section; however, it has been almost one week and the featured photos did not re-populate. I have tried everything from toggling the show-featured content option on and off, hard booting the device, logging out of iCloud, and leaving it overnight. Nothing seems to have worked; does anyone know a workaround?
