Can i restore my 13pro max backup to my old device iphone 7

No. This is because your iPhone 13 Pro Max has probably created a backup file while using iOS 16. Your iPhone 7 can only be updated to iOS 15. Here, you have an iOS mismatch. You cannot restore a backup file created with a higher iOS version on an iPhone that has a lower iOS version installed.

NOTE: You can restore a backup created with a lower iOS version on an iPhone with a higher iOS version.


Yes. If, by any chance, your iPhone 13 Pro Max still has iOS version 15 installed and you have not updated to iOS 16 then you can use that backup to restore your iPhone 7.
