I understand the method needed to get BBC Sounds to work on my HomePods via the creation of a Shortcut but, my problem is that the BBC Sounds app seems to have disappeared from within the Shortcuts app menu on my iPhone. The actual BBC Sounds app works as normal on my phone, and many other apps appear in Shortcuts, just not BBC Sounds! Is there a setting on my IPhone that I’m missing? Or does BBC Sounds no longer allow for using it in Shortcusts?
It's essentially an adjustment in Settings > BBC Sounds > Siri & Search > Use with Ask Siri [On]
I was having this problem too, though mine was switched on - but toggling it Off and On again resolved the issue and the BBC Sounds App reappeared I the Shortcuts menu.

I had BBC Sounds set up as an alarm shortcut then managed to delete it in my ‘Just woke up, can’t see’ fug. Now I can’t get it back as the App doesn’t appear as an option????
Why don’t the BBC sort out putting this app into the HomePod like Amazon did? We pay this license fee so they have enough money to make it work properly. It annoys me that they have these adverts with Zoe ball saying just ask your “smart”speaker to “play bbc sounds” in a condescending way when they know it doesn’t work on the Apple one
