I have upgraded my phone from 6s to an 11. But the signal strength appears weaker. I use to see 3 or 4 bars now I only see 1 bar. My friend is with the same phone carrier and I swapped SIMs, with his SIM the signal appeared stronger. He has an iphone 12 mini. Does anyone know if changing the SIM will help or does the iphone 11 just have poor reception? Thanks

Hmm, I'm not aware of any signal strength issues with the iPhone 11.
Getting a new SIM card from your carrier should be pretty simple and it certainly doesn't hurt to try.
Also, you might try this:
Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

As MrBill3 commented, replacing your SIM certainly can’t do any harm.
You might also use this as an opportunity to “update” to an eSIM if your carrier supports it.
If nothing else it’ll save you a trip to the “phone store” … AND it’ll make your “next” iPhone upgrade (presumably to a 5G phone) easier SIM-wise.

Just an update. My new SIM card arrived in the mail today. I swapped it out and activated it.
The signal strength is now or appears to be better. I can now see 4 bars of signal strength whereas before in the same place at my kitchen table, I would only see 1 bar. So for anyone in the future who has a similar problem, try changing your SIM card.
Actually, it has made no difference. I still have 1 bar. I put my glasses on !! I saw 4 bars at 3G not 4G grrrr.
Ever since I have trade in Apple 11 to 14 , Signal strength is very poor compared to 11 and android , changed SIM card as well … disappointing performance
