Hey Mjb2764,

Unfortunately there are a lot of fake Apple products out there, and as you said there is not an AirPods Pro 2nd Generazione that have A2618. The genuine model numbers include: A2931, A2699, A2698. Another way to check if your AirPods are fake is by checking the Firmware. You can do this by going in the same area where you see the Model Number to where it says "Version." The current firmware version is 5E133. If your AirPods do not have this current version then that could also be a sign that they are not genuine.

Sorry bro! :(

Packing box:A2931,A2699,A2698

Charging compartment:A2700

Headphones:A2931

Mobile phone connection display: A2618, 5A374

Regarding the model issue, I think it’s ok as long as the model and serial numbers of the packaging box, charging case, and earphones are consistent. As for the mobile phone display, it is speculated that it is a problem with the official system firmware, and there is no need to suspect the headset itself.

Hello, so I am confused. Is model A2618 legit or not? I bought a pair with that model number. The reply at the top of this thread indicates they're fake. An Apple Support rep told me via chat that they were genuine, however, she was not very convincing. They do almost nothing seamlessly, unlike my 1st gen AirPods Pro. I'm constantly having to reset them. Plus the mic is terrible.
