Cannot use Apple Gift Card to pay to Apple Store purchases online.

Hi!

I am trying to purchase something from the Apple Store online. I enter all my information correctly and when I click Place your order, it a message saying "Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method." or that the bank declined my purchase.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Gift card error, Your payment authorization failed on card I am trying to use two gift cards I traded reward points for online. I also then pay the remaining balance with my credit card. It shows that my apple gift cards have balances but when I execute the order I get the following error on the first gift card: Your payment authorization failed on card •••9772. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method. I've tried apple pay, my credit card, etc and nothing works. The failed number on the card is the gift card, not my credit card. I see this as a recurring issue on support without a concrete solution. Most saying contacting support doesn't help and is a waste of time.

Apple Account failing to connect my valid card for app downloads When trying to download an app, I came across a message to update/verify my payment information.
