Hi, fellow Tate member here. To add the membership pass to your wallet you need to log into your online Tate membership account. If n menu tap on the renew or upgrade membership tab. In here it will tell you your current membership type but also the option to add your current membership to Apple Wallet. One tap and it asks you to add and there you go.
It is not possible to add using the usual scanning of your membership card. Has to be done through your online membership portal - ideally from your phone I assume.

Is this a payment card or a pass that you are adding to the Wallet app? Please be sure that the card issuer supports Apple Pay.
