I'm getting a message on my iphone saying it can't confirm the battery is an authentic iphone battery

I'm getting a message on my iphone saying it can't confirm the battery is an authentic iphone battery. I took the sim card out when I changed from Verizon to Spectrum. Could this have caused the problem? If not, what could be the issue all of a sudden?

iPhone XS, iOS 16

Two possibilities:

1) The battery was replaced with a non-genuine Apple battery that will not allow settings like Battery Health to work correctly. In a nutshell, the shop installed the wrong battery.

2) The battery is original, but needs to be replaced at the Apple Store or authorized Apple Service shop

Either way, the message about an non-authentic battery will continue to be displayed until the possibilities above are resolved.
