Glitching

Why does my Apple Watch keep glitching in and out, meaning if I am trying to use it then it will just go black as if it’s not raised to my face in use. And then it also keeps minimizing to the different face options and when I clicked to return it then it glitches back to black. The screen is also super sensitive and sometimes doesn’t select anything when touching it. There is a good chance it may be because it’s too old but was hoping there may be a solution before having to order a new one.

it should only stay on 5 seconds in any case, but if it is minimising the face to this

on its own then it suggests the face is self-tapping amd needs a repair/replacement

Before that I suggest performing a forced restart. Steps needed are found in the Apple Support article: Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
