Apple Studio Display Unevenness - Is this the best I can expect?

I recently purchased this 27 inch Apple Studio Display and am shocked at how uneven the monitor is. I am a professional retoucher that frequently retouches images shot in the studio. This green was shot on on a cove wall. The unevenness looks like paint roller markers or background unevenness that I would typically fix but it is the monitor. Is this the best that I can hope for an Apple display? I have used iMacs in the past and they were never this bad.
