Can you have 2 credit cards on file for purchases, if so, how?

You can have multiple cards. Their order of possible use is determined by the position in the list, the top one first. If you are trying to do something like use different cards for different things, you will need to change the order before the payment is charged. Note that personal account balance is always tried first.
