Surely HomeKit certification should mean this shouldn’t happen?

Homekit: Accessory already added? I've seen this question asked since 2020 with no real answer for many devices. I attempted to udpated my wifi and got most of my smart devices resinstalled with the exception of my Leviton Gen2 dimmers and switches. Home Kit App indicates the accessory is “already added” but it does not appear in the Home accessories list and cannot be controlled by Home/Siri. Apple Support seem clueless on this issue - I called in to trouble shoot and then referenced the many threads about the issue with the accessory already added. They said its a 3rd party issue and not on them but it has clearly been a problem for many months. Has anyone found a solution?

HomeKit won’t add device plugs HELP……. I can’t add any HomeKit plugs to my HomeKit set up. I’ve tried three different brands…Kasa, Meross and even a Wemo that was working prior, but when I removed it from the home and tried to reinstall, I get the accessory not found error. I have two different homes (work and home)with different routers and still neither is adding. I just confirmed that I can add other items as I tested adding a NanoLeaf bulb with no problems. This has been going on for a week. Any suggestions?

HomeKit issues with iOS and iPadOS 18.2 Started having issues today with HomeKit using my iPhone and iPad. Tried upgrading one version to 18.2 with no change. Yale locks are no longer recognized and Eve outlets are intermittent on being recognized and automations are not working with the Eve outlets. I can’t even delete the automations so I can add them in new. I select “delete automation” but it’s still there when I go back.

Hi there, was there any solution to this? Since installing my G4 Aqara doorbell, my meross garage door openers don’t work. When I switch off the doorbell they work fine.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
