My shift button just keeps scrolling down. how to fix?

Right Arrow key moves… ON ITS OWN My right arrow key keeps scrolling to the right by itself!!! Whenever I type and want to go back to change a typo or something like that then it rolls straight back to the right! I can’t watch a YouTube video because it skips parts randomly every few minutes. I can’t type back to correct anything. But when I use it it’s working fine. Everything works fine but the problem is it works on its own! My MacBook Air is about 7 months old and nothing bad happened. Until now. I really hope it my MacBook didn’t get hacked, but I have no clue if it is. Do I go to an Apple Store? Can this be fixed on by myself? I have no idea what to do.

How can I prevent my cursor from shifting while typing on MacBook Air? Everytime I press the comma key, It shifts my cursor to the start of the line which is very annoying while typing. Either it will shift the typing cursor to the start of the line of to the line just above the current line. It really sucks when you are coding and you have to use comma several times. Its happening on all the application. My mac is currently on the latest mac version of 15.2. Idk, is it a glitch or what? If there is anything I can do, please help. [Re-Titled By Moderator]

Hey sunnyday54,

Which version of macOS is currently installed? We ask because the steps may be different if you're running an older software version.

If you haven't already, try restoring your Keyboard Shortcuts to their defaults. To do this go to > System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Restore Defaults: Change Keyboard settings on Mac - Apple Support
