Please make it possible to disable volume control buttons when phone is locked. I am constantly inadvertently changing the volume when changing trains during my commute and am carrying my phone and my laptop bag in one hand. It's very irritating, and painful when the volume suddenly goes to maximum.

I have asked for this feature multiple times in product feedback, unfortunately to no avail. Presumably, Cupertino engineers who drive to work and control levels with steering wheel buttons don't understand what it's like to travel to work by subway whilst carrying multiple things in one's hands.
Can’t believe it’s not possible to do this. I have my phone in my pocket most of the day whilst working , connected to headphones. Thus I unintentionally deafen myself multiple times a day because I can’t disable these buttons
