CarPlay will not disconnect from either iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 from Tucson Hybrid 2022

Our vehicle is a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, 2022. My wife has an iPhone 11 and I have an iPhone 12. On two separate occasions her phone would not disconnect based on what the screen said even though she was kilometres away from where I was. I pressed the talk button and held it for about 20 seconds, but it would not give me the option to disconnect her phone and connect mine. I also turned the vehicle off for at least 10 minutes. It continued to say her phone was connected, it did resolve itself when the vehicle was parked overnight, and restarted the next morning.

Today the same thing happened to her, my phone appeared to not disconnect, even though she was kilometres away from me. I toggled off CarPlay on my phone and even turned it off, but it still indicated my phone was attempting to disconnect.

FYI, between the time I had the issue and today there was a software update done by the dealer so if this happened to be part of the update, it didn’t work!
