I get the advertising, but this disrupts the use of the application. It is obnoxious.
Please fix this Apple.

Sync Library is an option used with the Apple Music subscription service. See Use Sync Library to access your music library across your devices - Apple Support for details. There used to be an option in iTunes to completely block Apple Music features, but I'm not seeing it anywhere in Music. Clicking Cancel once should really prevent that pop-up from coming up again. You might try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music as this can occasionally help when preferences aren't sticking.

What if I have iTunes Match (which provides the cloud library sync) but not Apple Music subscription? I'm getting this popup on most of my iTunes purchased music.
**UPDATE** After closing and re-opening Music a few times, it finally acknowledged that I'm no longer subscribed and stopped appearing.
Check under Music > Settings that you don't have Sync Library enabled. What version of macOS do you have?

Apple doesn't have advertising in Music streaming service so I'm a bit confused about what you're hearing.
I'm running Music on a work MacBook Air 2019
Just updated to Ventura.
I'm still getting the pop-up.
It seems to happen more in a playlist than from a direct selection from library.
I don't see any synch options, most likely because this is a laptop and not an iPad or i'Phone device.
About as advertising as you can get. I use Music as my player on my computer and have no desire to purchase the streaming service. Each time I play a song this message comes up. It is obnoxious.
Are you seeing this when you select songs in Library? Or when you select songs under Apple Music?
