I can't watch a movie despite having a valid Apple TV + Subscription

I'm trying to watch a movie called "The Whale" which I believe is included in the subscription. I've confirmed that my subscription is valid and that I'm logged in. I cannot watch the movie. Instead it only has options "how to watch" and "add to up next" but I cannot actually view it. This is how other shows appeared before I subscribed but now I'm able to watch them. Even if they charge, I should be able to able to have an option to purchase and view the movies. There are many others that I can watch and many others that I cannot. Can someone help me with figuring out how to watch the ones that simply say "how to watch"??

I'm trying to watch a movie called "The Whale" which I believe is included in the subscription.

It is not part of the Apple TV+ subscription catalog. It is a buy/rent movie from the Apple iTunes Store.

The whale (2022) on iTunes - Apple (US)

"how to watch" […] Even if they charge, I should be able to able to have an option to purchase and view the movies.

Unfortunately, a few select devices do not support in-app purchases in the Apple TV app at this time [4]. The “How to Watch” text was supposed to convey that. The workaround for that is to do any buying, renting, or subscribing on a different supported device (e.g. iPhone). Then the paid-for content becomes available on these primary devices as well, through the matching Apple ID account.

“2. On Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Sony TV devices, you can't purchase content from the Apple TV app. You can buy, rent, or subscribe on another supported device and then watch in the Apple TV app on your Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, or Sony TV device.” [4]

I understand your frustration with not being able to watch The Whale despite having a valid subscription and being logged in. It's definitely frustrating when technical glitches hinder our entertainment experiences. It's strange that you can only see options like how to watch and add to up next without the ability to actually view the movie. I can imagine how that might be perplexing especially since you've successfully accessed other shows after subscribing.

Regarding your concern about purchasing and viewing movies it seems reasonable to expect that option, even if there is a charge. It's crucial for streaming services to provide a seamless viewing experience for their subscribers.

In relation to Loklok free movie it's interesting to note that you're able to access some content while facing issues with others. Streaming platforms can sometimes have variations in their content availability based on region licensing agreements or technical hiccups. Have you tried reaching out to customer support for assistance? They might be able to provide insights into the specific issue you're facing and guide you on resolving it.

I recommend contacting the customer support team, detailing the problem you're experiencing with The Whale and the other movies that only show the how to watch option. They should be able to investigate and offer a solution to ensure you can enjoy the full range of content included in your subscription.

Hopefully they be able to address your concerns promptly allowing you to enjoy a smooth and uninterrupted movie-watching experience.
