Exlude Desktop files from uploading with turned on "Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive"

Hi, there was already the question to turn off uploading "Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive".

BUT, is it possible to only upload Documents and exclude the Desktop files from it?

I use the desktop as most Mac users do. Many actual files and folders, sometimes big video files and giant photo libraries around, but I don't want them all stored in the iCloud – this will take forever to upload and ecxeed the iCloud space anyway. It's annyoing to work with a Mac’s Desktop, if is always trying to upload all and I have to move it first from the Desktop to a save folder which is not synicing with the iCloud.
