Wrong keyboard layout with external keyboard (Swedish)

Hi. The problem is only with the external keyboard. It is mapped correctly on the apple keyboard.

I also discovered that simply installing and enabling the app Karabiner Elements solves the issue with the external keyboard.

This problem came back, but i managed to craft a console command which does not require karabiner elements, although im sure you could also fix this using that tool. You can use Karabiner-EventViewer to find these usb HID key codes.

You likely need to try one of the other solulutions mentioned in that earlier thread, Karabiner Elements or a custom layout with Ukelele. It's often hard to figure out why some machine is not using the correct keyboard type with a particular keyboard. Do you have another one you can try?

I have added the Swedish layout, as well as the Swedish Sami-PC layout.

I cannot reproduce the problem. The < key is at the bottom left and the § key is at the top left.

(I do not have an external keyboard at the moment, I am using the built-in keyboard on my MBP.)

Did you try in a new user account, or in your regular account when booted in Safe Mode? Does it make any difference?

Does that not also change the mapping of the internal keyboard, which you said had been working correctly?
