MBP M2 Max 120hz hdmi 2.1

Is it possible to get 120hz hdmi 2.1 from the thunderbolt ports on my M2 Max MBP.

No issue using the hdmi port but I’m using a Caldigit TS4 which connects by Thunderbolt and can only get 60hz to my LG C2 TV which is 120hz hdmi 2.1.

There seems to be conflicting info on if the thunderbolt poets will limit the output to 60hz hdmi 2.0 spec.

Thank you.

HDMI was invented for 720p consumer TV sets. Its application to high-end displays at high resolutions and fast refresh rates is fraught with peril. it often takes an extraordinary amount of fiddling to get close to what you seek. Some users refer to this as HDMI black magic.

HDMI has retained to use of Higher 5 Volt signal levels. Adapters for HDMI 2.1 get so hot they will burn your skin, and burn themselves out quickly.

You would be FAR better served by using ANY other digital interface than HDMI, if possible.
