ITunes doesn't recognize IPad for synching

Is there a setting I could have accidently set that would make my IPad not available to my ITunes on my computer for synching. It used to work, but now I can't get my IPad to register to my ITunes.

I've recently learned how to fix this problem.

Connect your ipad to your PC with itunes open *nothing will happen* once connected hold the home button and the power button *your ipad will turn off* keeping holding both buttons after it turns off. *Within 30 seconds to 1 minute* you will see the connect to itunes *like when you first turned on your ipad* then disconnect the cord and reconnect it. It will sync like a new ipad 😀

No. Have your powered-down/powered-up you iPad and tried again? Next I would uninstall both iTunes and Quicktime and reinstall the latest revisions. Install Quicktime first and then iTunes separately. Next do a search of the forums for: "not recognized" and look at the many previous posts concerning this problem.
