Shortcuts & Shortcuts app missing in share sheets

This question hasn’t been answered correctly as far as I’ve looked so this is the solution I’ve found. I couldn’t find shortcuts that I had made while in different apps, even after enabling the “Show in Share Sheets” toggle button within the Shortcuts app for an individual shortcut. Restarting my iPad didn’t help, nor did doing anything within the settings app. The fix was within the Shortcuts app itself. Steps are listed below:

1) Open the Shortcuts app and click the three dots (…) for a specific shortcut to edit it (found in top right corner of shortcut widget).

2) Along the top menu bar, click the share sheet symbol (box w/arrow) and scroll to the bottom of the pop up list/menu and click “edit actions.”

3) At the bottom of the list that pops up you should see the shortcut you’ve made listed under “Other Actions,” click the green “+” button next to the shortcut name -> this will add it to your “Favorites.”

4) Now you can exit the Shortcuts app and open any other app that utilizes the share sheet function and find your new shortcut in the list (typically listed below the “save to files” or “print” shortcut options).

I’m having the same issue with none of my shortcuts showing up in any share sheet in any app, despite having been there previously, and your fix did not help/apply in my case. The issue I’m experiencing started only after updating to ios17, and all of a sudden all of my shortcuts have disappeared and will not return to share sheets no matter what I do, and I’ve done literally everything I can think of/anyone else has suggested (ie, toggling permissions/show in share sheet, task killing/restarting the shortcuts app/whatever app I’m trying to use the shortcut in, soft resetting phone, toggling every setting for Shortcuts that is toggle-able from within system settings, etc…)

FWIW the shortcuts do still work if I try to execute them from within the shortcuts app, but that kind of defeats the purpose since it’s inconvenient af and def not a shortcut in any sense of the word.

Didn't work for me either. Tried all suggestions circulating online, even completely removing the shortcuts app and reinstalling, then recreating the shortcut.

Even with only 1 previously working shortcut newly created, it does not show up in the share sheet.
