Touch ID on Mac wireless keyboard not working

The Touch ID on my keyboard keeps cutting out. If I restart, it shows up and works for a few minutes and then stops working again. Keyboard connectivity is fine otherwise. Even if I use the cable, it still does not help. Any idea why this is happening? It's really frustrating.

Touch ID on Magic Keyboard not working on Mac book pro 2018 Hi all, I tried all described solutions nothing worked. Here are my details: I have a Mac Book Pro 2018, 13inch, 2,3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5. Trying to get the Touch ID working on the Magic Keyboard 2024 with Touch ID. It accepts only the touch ID on my Mac. Any help appreciated.

Mac Studio with Sonoma Double Press of Power Button to Set Up Touch ID Does Not Work I have a new magic mouse keyboard with touch ID and I can not get it to work. I have a Mac Studio running Sonoma and when I try to get the touch ID set up this window pops up that says double press the power on button. Nothing happens, but if I press too slowly it powers off. The wireless keyboard works just fine as a keyboard. I can not get the touch ID set up. Any suggestions? I set up touch ID just fine on a Macbook laptop, but the studio does not respond to a double press of the power button.
