Right AirPod not working

So my coverage just expired on my air pods and now the right AirPod won’t connect when I put it in my ear. I bring up the page with the battery percent and it will show the left airpod at 100% and right at 0% then I will take the right out of the case and put it back in and it starts to charge. I have 3rd gen AirPods. I have tried resetting them among countless other methods and it doesn’t work.
