It states this information:
If your AirPods are out of range or need to charge, you might see their last known location, "No location found," or "Offline."
You can't play a sound to find them, but you might be able to get directions to the location where they were last connected. If they do come back online, you get a notification on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that you use with them.
As for alert information. You will only be alerted if your AirPods are found, this is mentioned in this resource here: Find your lost AirPods - Apple Support
However, if you had Find My enabled for your AirPods, this means that your AirPods will be linked to your Apple ID. Resetting your AirPods will not remove this link as mentioned in this resource here: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support
AirPods can be associated with one Apple ID. If you want to use AirPods (3rd generation) or AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation) that someone else has used, they first need to remove the AirPods from their Apple ID.
