Just bought a second hand iphone 13 pro max. But I just looked at the battery graph. And is full of red lines. See ss. That jumps from 100 to 75 and back. Is this right? It's been OK since I took it off charge.

What goes "Maximum Capacity" show in percent when you select the "Battery Health & Charging" option?
Being second-hand, the battery could have seen a lot of use. Capacity is an indicator of the amount of work it has done in its life.
That is a good number. The one I used as an example is my SE 2020 that is about 18 months old.
So the red is now gone?
I suppose it's possible that the power management software was catching upon new user patterns after a change of ownership. This Apple article discusse than screen:

Its 93 %. It does seem to be working fine. Well first day of using it. But seeing the first graph just made me concerned
