I got a new iphone 14 Pro and followed instructions to transfer my data from my old phone and erase it so I can recycle it. I removed the old sim card. My old phone now shows a message including part of my email address. So I’m thinking I missed something. Help please?
Sounds like you forgot to sign out of your Apple ID, and turn off Find My, it sounds like it's on the Activation Lock Screen.
You will need to enter your Apple ID and password there to release it, then erase it again.

the location of this iPhone can be seen by…followed by my email address.
but I removed it from Find My
Is my iPhone 12Pro really erased?
