Apollo sound card not recognized because of Ventura update

Ever since I updated to Ventura 13.3.1 on my Mac1, my Apollo solo sound card is not recognized. Yesterday after uninstalling and reinstalling, precisely following the guidelines on UA website, it finally worked. However, this morning, when I turned on the computer the card is once again NOT recognized. (Also, the computer crashes every time it goes to sleep, but let's focus on the sound card.)

What is one supposed to do? Apple say it's not their problem because its an external software, but it worked fine before the update to Ventura, so it is Apple's responsibility. And UA support line says: they have so many calls they can't answer and the line hangs up.

So, what is one to do?

I need this, this is my work, my life.

iMac 24″, macOS 13.3

I had the same issue and had long conversations with UA tech support, but they couldn't find any problem on their side. Today I spoke to Apple support and they found a solution for me: resetting the SMC. So I unplugged my iMac M1 for 15 seconds, then connected it again and when it started up Apollo Solo was working just as it should. I hope it works for you guys too.

Hi, surprise here: Out of despair, contrary to my habits of leaving websites on the navigation bar when I turn off the computer at night, I quit ALL programs on the computer and lo and behold, Apollo turned on the next day.

I assume you uninstalled and reinstalled following the current guidelines, including the few lines to be deleted in the Library Preferences? Hope this helps.

After a couple of weeks, I got my Solo back from the Repair Center. Its DSP just died. It wasn't actually a software / firmware issue. The technician said he's getting an expressive amount of complaints regarding the Arrow or Solo units for the last year or so. It seems the chip is failing for an unknown reason. Really didn't expect that to happen on an UAD device.

This is absolutely unbelievable. I was on Mac OS 11 and Apollo was working fine.

I updated to Mac OS 12 and the latest UAD 10.2.5, and no matter what I did (unplugging, hardware resets, uninstalling and reinstalling), Apple Music WILL NOT PLAY through my Apollo. This is a 4 thousand dollar MacBook and a 3 thousand dollar interface that CAN'T PLAY MUSIC. WTF???

I then updated my Mac to OS 13.6.1 and uninstalled and reinstalled UAD again. Unplugged the Apollo again.

All procedures have been followed. WTF is going on with this? It's absolutely driving me nuts.
