Well I am so dumb when it comes to tech stuff, didn't know about a 'Brightness Setting', but searched settings and found the Brightness Setting was turned all the way down. So, adjusting that took care of the problem! Thanks!!

Assuming it's just just your brightness settings turned way do, it sounds like the backlight has failed. You'll need to take it (or send it) in to Apple or an authorized service provider to get it fixed.
