macbook - left under blankets

Hi

this might sound absurd…but please help :

I’m on a holiday and very worried because earlier today when I left home, I left my MacBook in bed and it’s covered/ under blankets .

I’m now on the airport and worried of the potential fire risks because im gone for next 5 days while the laptop sits there all tucked in.

I closed the lid so I think it’s in sleep mode .

Please let me know if I should worry , what are the chances of fire ? I think it’s a 2021 but not sure :(

Thanks

Minimal. There should be no reason for the Mac to wake up and do anything particularly demanding, but if a Mac cannot dissipate sufficient heat to keep its internal temperatures within limits, it will simply shut down on its own.

All it needs to do that is functional hardware, so if your Mac was operational before you left home it's probably still operational.

Your question isn't absurd at all. Apple thinks about these things.
