MacBook Pro Display Issue

I have an MacBook Pro M1 2020. I think you can see that in picture below, when I decrease screen brightness level to 0, one side of display still light and it going another side like a gradient. Other side of the display fully blacked. When it was brand new it fully blacked out when reduce brightness to 0. What's the reason for this?

There are not apple stores in Sri Lanka.

So, Please help me.

Display screens like the ones used in today's MacBook Pro models are unreadably dark unless a 'backlight' is applied. The light generated by the backlight reflects off a mirrored surface and the back and lights up sections of the display during normal use, allowing you to see the activated colored regions showing colors.

Your reported issue appears to be that the backlight has become uneven. This is not software-related.

An In-person inspection at the Genius Bar at an Apple store (appointment required) will tell you much more.

If still under warranty, any Apple-Authorized Service Provider (maybe the seller?) that handles Macs should be able to help you with this.

They are allowed to charge an "evaluation fee", intended to keep you from consuming their expensive technician time with frivolous issues. if they repair your Mac under warranty, or you pay for a repair, it is no longer frivolous and you can ask for a rebate of the evaluation fee.
